The Iron King By: Julie Kagawa

source
On her sixteenth birthday Meghan's life drastically changes when she find out that she is the daughter of the fabled faerie king Oberon. If this isn't weird enough she must embark on a quest with her long time best friend who turns out to be the notorious Puck from a midsummer night's dream to rescue her brother from a bunch of changelings. With the help of Puck, the talking cat Grimalkin, and the intriguing winter prince Ash, will she be able to save her brother in time.

Oh yeah, she only has about a week to get her brother back or there will be a war between the winter and summer courts. Thought I should I put that out there.

The main thing I liked about this book was the romance aspect. This author in good when it comes to building up a good ship. (See my review for Talon also by Julie Kagawa.) This author is also really good at describing eyes. That may sound weird but it's kind of a big thing in books whether you notice or not.

The main thing I didn't like about this book was that it could be hard to follow at times because of the fantasy world location. Other than that it was great!

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.
