The Eye of Minds By: James Dashner

Source
Enter the VirtNet, the world full of your wildest dreams. And your worst nightmares. The VirtNet offers full mind body immersion into the games and the better the hacker the more fun you have. What's the point of following the rules if most of them are dumb anyway? But some rules are there for a reason. One player is trapping people inside the games and the V.N.S. (VirtNet Security) knows that to catch a hacker, you'll need an even better one.  So they enlist Michal and his friends Bryson and Sarah to go off the VirtNet grid and stop Kaine. But what they find at the end of the path will change their lives forever.

The main thing I liked about this book was how fast paced it was. At one point I had to close my book because of this. In my opinion this series definitely tops the Maze Runner.

The main thing I didn't like about this book was the serious twist ending. Then again this is a James Dashner book. What do you expect.

Overall I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I am number four By: Pittacus Lore

I have been hiding for ten years here on Earth. They destroyed my planet. They want to finish the job.

They caught Number One in Malaysia,
Number Two in England,
and Number Three in Kenya.

They killed them all.

I am Number Four,
I am next.

The main thing I like about this book is the Legacies. I won't say more. You have to read it....

The main thing I didn't like about this book was how no one has read it. It's annoying that no one gets my references. Also the dialogue is kind of cheesy.

Overall I would give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Stake You By: Claire Farrell

Image from www.goodreads.com
I am going to recommend Stake You by Claire Farrell. This is a good book to read if you like fantasy, action, and romance.

Devlin O’Mara. Everyone knows her. Everyone knows to stay away unless you want her wrath, which usually no one does. Devlin has spent a long time creating her reputation. Nothing is going to get in the way of that. Then life happens. A stalking classmate threatens to send her walls tumbling down. Devlin has to unite and work with the enemy to keep everyone around her safe, and to save her own life from the darkness that lingers.

I really liked how this book wasn’t the cliche Falling-in-Love-With-a-Sparkling-Vampire story but a You’re-Going-to-Die story.

I can’t think of anything that I didn’t like about this book.

I give this book five out of five stars. Untitled image.jpg

Trouble By: Non Pratt

Add caption Amazon.com
I would recommend this book to a mature audience for things that it mentions or things that happen. I am recommending Trouble by Non Pratt. This book has a lot of drama and it is also romance.

Hannah should have been more careful. She knew the consequences that could happen if she wasn’t careful. Yet, she still did it, with him no less. It shouldn’t have been a problem for her if she had paid more attention, but she didn’t.

At fifteen years old, life smacked Hannah back when she found out she was pregnant. She has no one. Her best friend completely sold her out, revealed all of her secrets to the entire school. Her parents don’t know yet, and she’s not planning on telling them any time soon. No one wants to talk to her at all. Until Aaron comes along. The new kid doesn’t seem to care if she has a growing being in her. In fact, he actually offers to be the father. Hannah and Aaron go through many hard times with Hannah dealing with motherhood and Aaron trying to escape his past. Will they make it through or break in the middle?

I liked how this book also had Aaron’s point of view because it contributed a lot to how he was feeling towards everything and how he dealt with it.

I didn’t like how frequently it changed point of views because it eventually got confusing.

I give this book three out of five stars.3-stars1.jpg

Teardrop

Image result for teardrop book Teardrop is a very deep book. Eureka’s life was great. She was in cross country, her mom and dad loved her, and she had great friends. Until one night,  her mom dies in a tragic accident. And nothing, after that night,  was the same again. Until she meets the mysterious Ander, who she has a major crush on but he is very creepy.
She throws away her whole life. She has a VERY overprotective friend named Brooks and a great friend named Cat who likes every guy who walks  past her.
I rate this book 5/5 stars because I really got into it. If you like a romance will a little action, I’d read this book. Enjoy.

Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard: the sword of summer By: Rick Roirdan. In this book this homeless boy is sleeping under a bridge and Blitz wakes him by kicking his foot and the man is warning him that some people are after  him and the boy was super cold and he didn't want to get of his warm sleeping bag. The boy finds out that he has a is a cousin to Annabeth she is mad at him and he didn't even remember them and even know their names and is very confused. He is so lost about everything that's going on and he don't have any idea about what is going on. He couldn't remember their names until something just happened and then it was like WOW I know who they are it's my cousin and my uncle Fredrick.
I give this book a 5 star rating because it a really good book I hope you like, like i did.

Badger Knight By: Kathryn Erskine

Image from Amazon.com
I will be reviewing (note that I didn’t say recommend) the book Badger Knight by Kathryn Erskine. This book has a lot of action in it.

Adrian is small for his age. Because of that and the fact that he is albino, a lot of people make fun of him and basically thinks that he can’t do anything. Adrian wants to prove them wrong, and he finally gets his chance when his best friend, Hugh, goes off to fight in the war against the Scottish. He goes out to the war intent on finding Hugh and joining the war. Well, he does one of the things. When he finds Hugh, he is caring for a wounded Scottish man. Adrian is horrified at the sight, but then he gets to know Donald and doubt starts creeping in. He starts to question everything he was told about the enemy. If he wants his questions answered, he’s going to have to get out alive first.

What I didn’t like about this book is that throughout the entire thing, Adrian constantly whined about being an albino. It really started to get annoying. He not only whined about him being albino but everything else he didn’t like. Every. Single. Thing. The only reason I read this book was because I had to read it for book club, and even then I didn’t finish it.

I can’t think of a single thing I liked about this book.

I give this book zero out of five stars.stars-0.gif

Out Of My Mind By Sharon Draper

Out Of My Mind is about girl with Cerebral Palsy which doesn't allow her to talk, walk, or do much of anything on her own. But with the help of Mrs. V, Melody can start learning how to roll over and communicate with a board full of words that she can point to. Melody began school but it was very hard for her to talk until her aide Katherine, found her a thing called a Medi-Talker which she used to communicate with her friends
I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars

Hush, Hush By: Becca Fitzpatrick

Image from en.wikipedia.org
I am going to recommend Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. This book is in the fantasy and romance category.

Nora Grey is your average high school girl. Her best friend, Vee, continually pushes her to get her a boyfriend despite the fact that Nora isn’t attracted to any of the guys at her school. Then Patch comes sauntering in. Nora is drawn to this silent, mysterious guy even though he practically screams trouble. He intrigues her with his way of saying something that increases her attraction towards her, then saying something that repulses her. Also, what is with those V-shaped scars on his back?

Then these horrifying encounters happen, and Nora isn’t sure who to trust anymore. She can’t decide if she wants to be with Patch or to move on from him. Patch seems to know more about her than her closest friends, and he seems to be everywhere she is. Nora wants some answers, but they come with a price. By gaining these answers, Nora just might lose her life.

This book is a series of four. The next one is called Crescendo.

I liked how the author used a more uncommon name for Patch instead of doing something completely ordinary. The way the name is more unusual ties in with this book because a lot of unusual things happen.

I didn’t like how the author didn’t describe things very much, so for things I didn’t know much about I just had to make it up myself or look it up online.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

The Only Thing to Fear

WHAT IF HITLER WON WWII.........

Germany won WWII with their genetically modified soldiers, now the world is split into territories with tight laws and even tighter punishments.

Zara wonders what the world would be like if the Allies had won the war. It probably would peaceful and her mother wouldn't be dead. But she knows this is impossible. In fact if the Nazis found out that she was thinking this she would most likely be sent to a labor camp or even killed.

The thing is, if her uncle would just let her join the alliance, Zara might be the key to bringing down the Fuhrer once and for all.  You see, she has a secret (one that she could be killed for) that could allow her to become the symbol the Alliance needs. That is....if the Nazis don't find her first!

The main thing I liked about this book was the what if factor. It makes you thankful to live where you are and really opens your eyes to how lucky we are.

The main thing I didn't like about this book was how gruesome the Nazi's punishments could be. These actually made me cringe a couple times while reading this book.

I would recommend this book to more mature readers due to some extreme violence. (About equal to the Hunger Games)
