Between Shades of Gray-By:Ruta Sepetys

This is an amazing novel. It's about a girl and her family who get taken by their home by the NKVD(aka soviets) in 1941. They get taken with hundreds of thousands of other families. They get sold and are forced to work hard labor for a tiny piece of bread a day. This book is based on things that really happened. It is sad and exciting and was very dificult for me to put down. This book is filled with fear, happiness, family, depression, death, and love. I would highly recommend this book to EVERYONE. I loved this book and it was easily one of my favorites.
