I would recommend this book for more mature readers due to many sequences of torture or characters in extreme pain.

June is a soldier. Youngest in her class and downright brilliant, many would covet her high-end life. But when June's brother is murdered she is tasked with tracking down the person accused of it. Day.

When they meet they are no more than enemies. But as secrets start to surface about the Republic and their own pasts they realize they may have more in common than anyone could have guessed.

The main thing I liked about this book was how fast paced it was. It is the type of book you cannot put down.

The main thing I disliked about this book was that there was quite a bit of torture. I have no problem with violence but this went a little too far.

Overall I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.
